BreWingZ Celebrates The 50th Anniversary of the Buffalo Style Chicken Wing
Earlier this month, the Buffalo Style Chicken Wing celebrated its 50th birthday. In honor of this momentous occasion, we did a little research on how this famously delicious wing came to be.
Where Everybody Knows Your Name
Is it any wonder that the birthplace of the buffalo wing would be in a small bar in Buffalo, New York? On March 6th, 1964, Anchor Bar owner Teressa Bellissimo decided to make her son and some of his friends a late night snack.
From some left over chicken wings, Teressa created a snack that would soon become a fan favorite. It wasn’t actually until a couple years later that the wings made their way onto the menu.
It’s A Holiday
In honor of this momentous creation, the state of New York has named March 6th as “Chicken Wing Day.” Come into your local BreWingZ today to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Buffalo Style Chicken Wings with your favorite WingZ.
